Prompting of passwords in speaker verification systems

چکیده
The problem of how to prompt a client with a password in an automatic prompted speaker verification system is addressed. Text-prompting of four-digit sequences is compared to speech-prompting of the same sequences, and speech-prompting of fourdigit sequences is compared to speech-prompting of five-digit sequences. Speech recordings are analyzed by comparing speaker verification performance and by inspecting the number and type of speaking errors that subjects made. It is found that text-prompting works better than speech-prompting for the four-digit sequences, given that speaker models were trained on text-prompted digits.

Using Exciting and Spectral Envelope Information and Matrix Quantization for Improvement of the Speaker Verification Systems
Speaker verification from talking a few words of sentences has many applications. Many methods as DTW, HMM, VQ and MQ can be used for speaker verification. We applied MQ for its precise, reliable and robust performance with computational simplicity. We also used pitch frequency and log gain contour for further improvement of the system performance.

متن کاملA novel technique for the combination of utterance and speaker verification systems in a text-dependent speaker verification task
In this paper we present a novel technique for combining a Speaker Verification System with an Utterance Verification System in a Speaker Authentication system over the telephone. Speaker Verification consists in accepting or rejecting the claimed identity of a speaker by processing samples of his/her voice. Usually, these systems are based on HMM's that try to represent the characteristics of ...

Speaker Verification and Utterance Verification are examples of techniques that can be used for Speaker Authentication purposes. Speaker Verification consists of accepting or rejecting the claimed identity of a speaker by processing samples of his/her voice. Utterance Verification systems make use of a set of speaker-independent speech models to recognize a certain utterance and decide whether ...
